VICE PRESIDENT Sarah Van Giesen

Born in Redwood City and raised in Santa Rosa, Sarah Van Giesen has made the Bay Area her home for most of her life. After graduating in 1988 from UC Berkeley with a major in Architecture, Sarah moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington to study for a Masters in Architecture with a Certificate in Historic Preservation and Planning in 1994. In 2000, Sarah relocated to Napa to start a design practice as well as a new family life.  Sarah is the proud mother of two active boys who are just starting their educational careers as Gators at Alta Heights Elementary School.  Sarah was appointed to the City of Napa Cultural Heritage Commission in 2003 and currently sits as the acting Chairperson. In addition, Sarah is also a member of the Steering Committee for the Downtown Napa Specific Plan.
