County Historic Preservation Ordinance
Napa County Landmarks would like to thank everyone involved in this process for your time and support to update the Napa County’s Landmark Preservation Ordinance. Your efforts have helped update procedures and standards for landmark designation, instituted the Mills Act Tax incentive program for historic sites, identified five historic farm centers and grange halls as significant structures allowing them to be reused for their historic functions, and identified six landmarks of special significance that are threatened by demolition-by-neglect and allowed them to be reused for their historic uses.
The next steps are to create a ballot measure for consideration by the voters that will reaffirm the commitment to historic preservation. This is being proposed for either the June or November 2012 ballot.
