East Napa Walking Tour

Date:
Saturday, June 16, 2012 - 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

To the east of downtown and the Napa River lies the East Napa neighborhood, old Napa’s "Little Italy." The neighborhood has been home to many uses in its history, including a Mexican rancho, a riverside industrial district, a working-class Italian neighborhood and Napa’s 20th-century auto row. The neighborhood is still vibrant today, with charming historic cottages standing side by side with the modern landmark Oxbow School. This tour wanders through East Napa, highlighting the architectural and historical treasures of the area and ends at the Oxbow Market.

The tour will meet at 9:30am for check-in at Napa County Landmarks and the Napa County Historical Society in the Goodman Library, 1219 First Street

Cindy Watter is an active Landmarks member, sits on the Cultural Heritage Commission and is a former City Council Member.
